*Not enough space in your closet? A good rule of thumb to remember is: If you have not worn a piece of clothing for
over 2 years, then get rid of it. More than likely you will not wear that piece
of clothing again.
*Do you have loose bags of pasta, mixes, etc…
scattered in your pantry? Buy some medium sized wire
baskets and put the items in your baskets. This keeps them all together and gives
you a bird’s eye view of what is in the basket. When you need something just take the basket out, take what you need
and replace the basket. It’s
convenient and will save you space in your pantry.
*Start small! Don’t overwhelm yourself with a huge organizing project or chances are you will
never get it done. Start with a small project, like organizing your shoes, and
then work your way up to something larger, like your closet.
*Shop around for the best
prices on organizing products: There are many stores that carry organizing products these days and prices can vary greatly. I recommend the following stores for basic organizing products: Target, Wal-Mart,
Home Depot and Staples. (See my Organizing Products page for more
info.)
